유(遊)중진담_봉산탈춤 [유(遊)중진담_봉산탈춤]은 클라리넷, 첼로, 피아노, 타악기, 현대무용 총 5인의 연주자로 구성되어있으며 'I. 유(遊)중, II.진담' 2악장으로 나뉜다. 이 작품은 봉산탈춤의 제6과장 양반춤에서 아이디어를 얻어 새롭게 재해석 및 재창조하였다. 1악장은 잦은 변박과 불협화등을 통하여 정신없이 술에 취해 노는 양반들을 풍자하는 것을 표현하였고, 2악장은 분위기 를 반전하여 '술에 취한듯 양반들을 풍자했지만, 사실은 나도 이렇게 놀 수만 있다면 놀고싶다...'는 쓸쓸한 마음과 진담을 나타낸다. 즉 작품의 제목처럼 -遊(놀 유)-놀다가 진짜 마음이 표현되어지는 것이다. 이렇듯 다른 신분의 사람을 풍자하 지만 사실은 자신에게도 여건이 주어지면 마음껏 놀고 싶은 '인간의 본능'을 표현해보고 싶었다. 제목 '유(遊)중진담'은 '취 (取)중진담'에서 한자어를 다르게 하여 새롭게 고안한 것이다. 2악장에서는 봉산탈춤 제6과장에서 사용되는 굿거리장단 을 인용하였고, 1악장의 선율적인 요소를 확대하는 등 작품의 전체적인 통일성을 부여하였다.

Yoo Jung Jin Dam_Bongsan Mask Dance [Yoo Jung Jin-dam_Bongsan Mask Dance] consists of five performers, including clarinet, cello, piano, percussion, and modern dance, and is divided into two movements, "I. Yoo Joong, II. Jin-dam." This work was created through reinterpreting and recreating the 6th chapter of the Bongsan Mask Dance, Yangban Dance. The first movement expresses Maldduki, a servant, satirizing the drunken noblemen through frequent alterations and discord. And the second movement reverses the atmosphere and represents Maldduki's true and forlorn heart, "I satirized the noblemen as if I were drunk, but in fact, I wish I could play like this...''. His real heart is expressed while playing. He satirizes people of different status, but in fact, he wants to play as much as he wants if conditions were given. I wanted to express this 'human instinct'. The title "Yoo Jung Jin-dam" which means "true heart in playing" was newly devised by changing Chinese four character idiom, "Chui Jung Jin-dam" which means true heart in drunk. In the second movement, the Gutgeori rhythm, used in the sixth chapter of the Bongsan Mask Dance, was cited, and the overall unity of the work was given by expanding the melodic elements of the first movement.
